It is a party comedy with an age gap as its engine, mining the distance between a man who should know better and a weekend with no interest at all in what he knows.
Best suited to viewers who like their comedies loud, sweaty and unafraid of a hangover; anyone with affection for the disaster-weekend subgenre will recognize the shape immediately. Expect an escalating hour and forty-two of bad decisions, neon nights and an inevitable morning-after reckoning, plus a streak of midlife melancholy running under the noise. Round up some friends, lower your standards a notch, and it delivers the raucous good time it advertises.
