Our Review Editorial
A mist rolls over a futuristic city and something inside it begins taking people. That is the engine of this strange, genre-braiding piece, which runs two desperate searches on parallel tracks: a troubled young woman looking for her father, and an American GI on an odyssey to pull his daughter out of Hell. The whole thing leans lurid and hallucinatory, far more interested in atmosphere, texture and pulp momentum than in explaining the logic of the world it builds.
Best approached by viewers with an appetite for midnight-movie weirdness, the kind of sci-fi horror that mixes dystopian dread, grindhouse attitude and outright infernal imagery without apologizing for the seams. Expect a propulsive, tonally restless hour and fifty minutes where mood outranks tidy plotting and the imagery carries the load. Anyone wanting a clean narrative should steer clear; cult-film hunters who appreciate a swing this wild will have a far better time.
