Synopsis
An idyllic summer town descends into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results.
Our Review Editorial
Few horror premises need less explanation than this one: a picture-perfect summer town, a familiar chime coming down the street, and treats that do something very wrong to the children who eat them. Running a tight eighty-six minutes, the film mines the uncanny edge of a suburban ritual everyone recognizes, and the tone stays playful, mean and grinning throughout rather than reaching for solemn dread.
Perfect for horror fans who like their scares seasonal and a little silly, and for anyone with a soft spot for small-town nightmares where the threat arrives in broad daylight. Expect a fast, unfussy pace, gruesome inventiveness and rather more dark comedy than terror. It is not built to unsettle you for a week; it is built to be enjoyed loudly, ideally with a crowd and something sweet within arm's reach. An easy call for a summer-night double feature.
