Synopsis
In the Storm on Sesame Street special, Elmo and his friends work together to get ready for a big storm, learning how to be prepared, have courage, and calm their bodies and minds when things feel scary. After the storm passes, Sesame Street looks different, and everyone pitches in to help their neighbors rebuild their homes. With the help of the neighborhood, including celebrity guests Post Malone and Michelle Buteau, Elmo and Abby set out to make a difference, and discover that small acts of kindness, and support from friends, can make the biggest difference of all.

Being prepared, finding courage, and calming a racing body and mind are the lessons here, and the special does not pretend the street looks the same afterward. The second half turns to rebuilding, neighbors helping neighbors, with guests Post Malone and Michelle Buteau joining Elmo and Abby in the effort to make a difference.
Pitched at young children and the adults sitting beside them, it moves gently and clearly, favoring songs and small moments over incident. It is especially worth having on hand for families who have lived through severe weather, or who want to talk about it before they ever do. Thirty minutes, warm throughout, and built on the idea that small kindnesses add up. An easy recommendation for any household with a worried little viewer.
